Voice Interactive Data Collection Terminal

This wearable voice data entry system directs workers through data collection tasks such as receiving, picking, inventory, and inspection. It uses text-to-voice synthesis to ask questions directly of operators who then reply using any of several appropriate responses. All information is exchanged in real time by radio frequency between the operator's voice system and the main frame management information system. This product design was the result of extensive human factors and usability research and established Vocollect within this growing market. Daedalus provided complete design and mechanical engineering services.
