Mining Machine Remote Control

To develop this continuous mining machine remote control, Daedalus spent many hours in the mines of Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. When we emerged, with our faces, gloves, and coveralls embedded with coal dust, we had a true and complete understanding of an incredibly demanding use environment, while having real empathy for the everyday needs of the coal miner.

The resulting device is incredibly tough; dust and watertight; and washable in a sink. It is packed with a GUI, a variable array of controls, wireless technology, and well-protected yet swappable batteries. All of this is in a lightweight, compact, cost-effective, easy-to-use, and easy-to-carry product that is sturdy enough to turn upside-down and use as a lunch seat.
