The generative (Discover and Ideate) and evaluative (Define and Implement) phases of the user-centered design cycle are shown as a path with recursive arrows connecting the phases.

User-Centered Design Workshops

Daedalus has provided several workshops on user-centered design for various clients and local universities, ranging from just a few hours to intensive multiple-day sessions. These workshops guide participants through the user-centered design process, from Discovery and Definition, which involves conducting and interpreting user research, to Ideation and Implementation, which includes concept generation and evaluation, prototyping, and design validation.

The workshops — time permitting — include lectures, illustrative demonstrations, and breakout activities that guide participants through generative and evaluative thinking processes and exercises as they relate to user-centered design.

In addition to hosting Lunch and Learn events in our office, we've conducted these workshops for Respironics, Stryker Medical, UPMC, and ConAir.
