Later this month, Daedalus President Matt Beale and Business Development Manager Tim Fletcher will be traveling to Wuxi, China – two hours west of Shanghai – as invited speakers for the 2013 Wuxi Redesign Design Education Conference, held in conjunction with the 2013 Wuxi International Design Expo.
The conference focuses on reforming Chinese design education. This year’s event is the second in a series of six and focuses on “Different Contexts, Different Problems, and Different Approaches.” Experts from US, Europe, China and other parts of Asia will share expertise and insight into design policies, social innovation, and other topics. The conference also explores how design education should respond to the constantly evolving design professions, which integrates well with the points of Matt’s talk last month at the IDSA Central District Conference.
